About

Alohamask.com's sudden rise as a supplier of PPE products during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 actually began 25 years earlier as part of Shelley Wilson’s longtime commitment to helping people in the State of Hawaii.  Shelley is the founder of Wilson Care Group, one of the state’s largest licensed home health care businesses and operator of the Wilson Senior Living facility in the community of Kailua on the island of Oahu.  Prior to her long-term care career, she was a combat medic in the Army and served with the Hawaii Army National Guard.

In January 2020, hearing about personal protective equipment (PPE) supply shortages on the mainland U.S. and around the world, Shelley began purchasing PPE for her 500 nurses and caregivers, along with extra supplies for fellow healthcare professionals in the local community.  Demand for these products became so high that soon after she started a separate company called Be Well Hawaii to provide PPE supplies to professionals in need.  The company has now assisted hundreds of businesses, schools, organizations, and agencies throughout Hawaii.

Be Well Hawaii will only sell its medical grade PPE to hospitals, first responders, government agencies, and others with a need for such specialized products.  There are, however, many other non-medical items, that are scarce and in high demand by businesses and families as our local communities reopen.  Ensuring a supply of products like face masks, gloves, infrared thermometers, and hand sanitizer is essential to families and safely reopening and continuing to operate offices, schools, restaurants, retail stores, hotels, and other businesses.  Alohamask.com was created as a division of Be Well Hawaii to proudly make these products available to anyone who needs them.
